Cyclon Sidr kills 10000 at south of Bangladesh

Bangladesh is one of the biodivers country of south Asia. Every year Flooding couses lots of damage all over the country. On november 15, 2008 the cyclone intensified to reach peak winds of 215 km/h (135 mph) according to the IMD, and a peak of 250 km/h (155 mph) according to the JTWC. Sidr officially made landfall around 1700 UTC later that day, with sustained winds of 215 km/h (135 mph)
Coastal districts of Bangladesh faced heavy rainfall as an early impact of the cyclone. Dhaka and other parts of Bangladesh experienced drizzle and gusty winds. Total damages came close to $450 million.
Tidal waves reaching up to a height of 3 metres (9.8 ft) were reported in the coastal areas of north Chennai in southern state of Tamil Nadu in India, triggering panic among the fishing community.
The damage in Bangladesh was extensive, including tin shacks flattened, houses and schools blown away and enormous tree damage. Some local officials have described the damage as being even worse than that from the 1991 cyclone. The entire cities of Patuakhali, Barguna and Jhalokati District were hit hard by the storm surge of over 5 meters (16 ft). About a quarter of the world heritage site Sunderbans were damaged. Researchers said mangrove forest Sunderban will take at least 40 years to recover itself from this catastrophe. Much of the capital city of Dhaka was also severely affected, as electricity and water service were cut and significant damage was reported there due to winds and flooding. The local agricultural industry was also devastated, as many rice crops - which have a December harvest - were lost.
Red Crescent in Bangladesh expects the death toll to reach as high as 10,000. Over 3,000 other fishermen were reported missing on over 500 fishing boats.

I believe - World should more sincere about youth initiatives and voices.

Bangladesh is one of the developing countries of south Asia. There are 1.4 billion people live in Bangladesh. More than 45 millions are youth. In some area 40% of youth live under poverty line. One of the major barier to eradicate poverty here is unemplyment. 70 % young people of Bangladesh live in village area. The structure of each family is 5-9 members and these members are depending on 1-2 earning member. When these 1-2 members become unemployed; whole family suffer for it.

Youth is the driving force in any society, if we can provide them proper education, training and a good working environment. It is not a denying fact that our youth generation is passing a frustrating time. They are getting deeply involved day by day in more and more various social crimes. In many cases young voice and initiatives are ignored by the Political leaders, Stakeholders and policymakers. Internet is opportunity to learn internationally also nationally. But it’s trouble some digital dividend is big barrier for young people of developing country. Policy makers and Business people are still not caring this matter. Our youth have chance to be integrate ICT in areas of MDGs, agriculture, peace, health, education, quality of life, human rights, employment, non agricultural activities, entertainment, conflicts, trade, disaster management, migration, environment, awareness, capacity building etc. To be more involve with national and international process ICT is a great tools. Situation demands new types of leadership called e-Leadership.

Many youth of the world earn less than $1 day or unemployed. They always are looking jobs to survive for live in this world. On the other hand there are lots of development crisis, like health, energy, education etc. If we can engage young people in development area twin problem will be solve.
It is an accepted fact that sustainable development is most successful when change comes from within a community itself— not from outsiders. Unfortunately, when it comes to development, young leaders at all levels— local, national, regional, and international— are too often marginalized and left out of important interventions. To eradicate young unemployment as well as global poverty; I believe-world should more sincere about youth initiatives and voices.

E Health Leadership

E world is the gift of our century. We have good internet structure to reach every country of the world. Have lots of people who have access to internet. Day by day the number is increasing. Its trouble some still we are far to use of ICT properly for global health development. One of the major causes of global health crisis is lacking of health information to all.

“Today’s global health crisis reflects widening inequalities within and between countries. As the rich get richer and the poor get poorer, advances in science and technology are securing better health and longer lives for a small fraction of the world’s population.” -Global Health Watch

When we use Information Communication and Technology with health process we can consider it E health. To get maximum benefit from E health process, situation demands new types of leadership called E health leadership. Main advantage of it’s to work internationally with out worries of country boundaries. Web 2.0 can refer to a perceived second generation of web-based communities and hosted services which aim to facilitate creativity, collaboration, and sharing between users. It use new technologies such as weblogs (blogs), social bookmarking, wikis, podcasts, RSS feeds etc.
